I wanted to tell you where we're at with Pieces of Amy, and where we're going with it once it's done....
Pieces of Amy in a nutshell...
We've got a budget of $135,000. We've got $100,000 in the bank. We've got $35 to go.
I shot 10 pages back in February 2022. That's where the trailer came from. It came out pretty sick, right? I’m extremely happy with it. That’s what we’re going to do with the full feature film.
I pulled together a world-class cast & crew that I 100% believe in. The hard work belongs on HBO. If you don’t believe me, watch the trailer and think "this belongs on HBO"...
So this last $35,000 allows us to GO EXTRA. “Extra” means the difference between a good movie and an HBO movie. A solid movie and a SUNDANCE movie. It’s all the tiny adjustments & additions. It also protects us against curve balls like rain and snow. And since we're shooting way up in the mountains in Kern County, I'm definitely expecting rain and snow!!! ❄️❄️❄️
Any donation amount would help. It helps us ladder up to the $35 grand number which - as it turns out - is the same number that Amy - our protagonist - needs to bump her Mom out of trouble.
Her Mom's got a drug addiction. And Amy's not exactly headed in a great direction either. Her brother Brian's got a plan, but his plan's not worth shit. Not since they've got 72 hours to score the ransom and get it back to these high-desert drug dealers. And Brian's loser friends aren't coming through. So they're pretty much fucked...
That is, until Amy stumbles onto a worst case scenario. Some rich photographer prick named Angelo. He's holed up a in an empty mansion in the mountains. He's got nothing but coke, mischief, and his enigmatic young muse named Taylor. And oh yea, he's got boatloads of cash.
But something shady happens the first night Amy meets them. She was too messed up to remember the details. But it was bad. And now it just feels like...someone is following her. But not like a person, like a thing. And as she gets pulled deeper into Angelo and Taylor's world, people start going missing. And things aren't quite adding up. It’s like Amy is stuck in a dream within a dream within a dream. Like a 100 million nested dreams.
And even as Amy succumbs to the suspicion that she's suffering from some sort of possession, she still swears she'll be able to save the day. It's like there's something inside of her, pushing her forward, trying to get out.

“Amy’s not a drug addict, her mom’s a drug addict. Amy just likes to party. But when she’s caught lifting a bunch of OXY’s from a local biker gang, her and her brother are forced on the run. They stumble onto a rich photographer’s party, way up in the mountains, where she befriends one of his model muses. It gets hot and heavy between them, but something doesn’t feel right.
In Amy’s dreams, she’s being followed. It’s not a body, just a dark silhouette. She wakes in strange locations, her clothes filthy, her skin diseased. And people are going missing.
